Welcome to Brown Sugar Marketing 2.0
Rebranded. Recharged. Relaunched.
First and foremost, to those of you who have just joined us, welcome!
Here's a little back story: Brown Sugar Marketing has been in my heart since June 2010. I officially launched, 10 years and 3 months later, in September 2020 and now I'm baaaacckkk for the relaunch in June 2022! When launching in 2020, there was simply too much happening. Now that we are phasing into what seems to be post-pandemic times (and now that I am 10 months post my pandemic baby), I've decided that it's time for me to start things up again.
For those who have taken this wild and crazy journey with me, those who were with me shooting in the gym, I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you!

Brown Sugar Marketing (BSM) was created with, you, the entrepreneur in mind and throughout my years of service and brand development for other companies, I always knew who I wanted to cater my business too. Over my 12 year career in marketing and communications, I've worked with a variety of businesses (large brands, small brands, start-ups and non-profits) in several industries and I've picked up many gems along the way. One thing I've always wanted to do was to use my education and experience to sow back into my community. I wanted to be the change I wanted to see, and I'm so grateful that now I finally have that opportunity.
We're not really strangers...
Before jumping directly into business, here's a little bit about me. At my core, I am your average Chicago born and raised girl who enjoys reading, shopping and long walks on the beach. I have a Bachelor of Business degree in Marketing from Western Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications for Roosevelt University. I am very personable and outgoing, so my approach will always reflect this. My blog is my safe space. It's not going to follow APA guidelines (like my client work) and it may get a little ghetto from time to time. I promise my content will always be relevant but it will also be 1,000% authentic to who I am. So, if you want the professional side of BSM, exit this blog, return to the home page and book a service while you're there.
In my current situation, I am a wife, a mother, a step-mother, a full time marketing communications professional and finally, an entrepreneur. Long story short, I wear many many hats and its taken me years to get to where I am today. I've spent a lot of money and time perfecting my craft, so please leave your attitudes, skepticism, and criticism at the door. Respectfully.
We're in this together!
As I stated earlier, BSM has been in my heart for 12 years now. I know how it feels to have a dream so big, it keeps you up at night. I understand that at times you may feel overworked and under payed. I'm here to serve you and to help make your entrepreneurial dreams come true. During our time together, I promise to treat you and your business with the utmost respect and I simply ask that you do the same.
Now, if you're still reading this, go ahead and book a consultation, and let's get this schmoney!
